Light as Aero

Neutrals are my fave.  From browns to beige, whites to greys to black, blush to light blues to lilacs - these are my kinda colours, simple and clean.  Don't get me wrong though, Ido love the Dries Van Noten prints similar to this Zara top I'm wearing, and this summer's floral patterns, but I feel most comfortable in neutrals and solids.

These Mimosa platforms are my current fave shoes!  I actually found these at Browns a long time ago and it is similar to the Topshop platforms (identical in fact), but I didn't have the courage to purchase it then.  Now I am so glad I got them and I can't wait to rock it with so many outfits.  They are super comfy too and gives me a lot of extra height ;)

Nail Polish

American Apparel has some unique nail polish colours that I absolutely adore!    I especially love the Hunter deep green colour as I've never really seen this shade anywhere before.  I also love the off-white greyish shade of the California Trooper - classic neutral.

Forever 21's love & beauty selection are more vibrant like the soft pink and turquoise shades.  I received a lot of compliments wearing the turquoise as it really stands out.  As you can see, I like them both that I decided to wear them at the same time ;)

Where's the Rain?

On Saturday, my boyfriend and I took a risk by inviting our friends to an all-day game of volleyball at Ashbridges.  All week, the weather forecast predicted thunderstorms with a high of only 21 degress - not exactly your ideal beach weather.  Nonetheless, we stocked the cooler with beverages, got the net and ball ready and headed to the beach. 

As you can see, I wore jeans at first as I was expecting rain and cold breeze, but in the end, the sun blazed, our friends played, and had an absolute blast.  Unfortunately, I was too busy playing volleyball and completely forgot to take pics of everyone, but believe me, we definitely enjoyed ourselves.

Coffee, Crepe & Cheesecake

there is nothing better than some hot coffee and delicious dessert on a late friday night with your girls...

after a satisfying sushi dinner at tenichi, my bestie, her sister and i went straight to cafe mirage located at kennedy commons.  we ordered the new york style cheesecake and the brownie hill over crepe which were to die for! 

this place always hits the spot when it comes to dessert binges. 
what a great way to start the weekend!
